We are excited to welcome Spencer Jahnke to Augurian as Senior Manager, Paid Media! Spencer’s thoughtful and advanced approach to media ensures his clients achieve continued growth. He has an innate ability to connect with his clients and understand exactly what they need — he internalizes their goals and provides strategic recommendations designed to exceed them. Spencer has the tactical skills to back this up, tirelessly optimizing and testing until he sees the success he’s looking for.
Although Spencer has experience creating media plans for both lead-gen and ecomm clients, ecomm is truly his bread and butter. Spencer has been a thought leader in the google shopping space, speaking both nationally (SMX – Advanced) and locally (MN Search) on how to take shopping campaigns to the next level.
Prior to Augurian, Spencer was a Senior Manager at Nina Hale for several years. In this role he balanced strategic planning and campaign execution for his clients, as well as managed and trained Nina Hale’s other media planners to ensure they achieve equally flawless execution. Spencer started his career at 2nd Swing Golf working on paid search campaigns and TV media buying.
Outside of work, Spencer enjoys cooking (and eating), golfing, going to concerts, and traveling.
- Spencer’s favorite trip so far has been doing the “W Trek” in Torres del Paine (also known as Patagonia). He even has a half sleeve tattoo to remind himself of it.
- Spencer was originally going to go to culinary school with the dream of becoming a chef and opening his own restaurant. In high school he read the book “brand washed” and discovered a love for marketing and buyer behavior.
- If Spencer could watch one show on repeat for the rest of his life, it would be Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and has been to 12 of the restaurants in MN that have been featured on the show.
